There will be hundreds and hundreds of applicants who will want to apply in hospitals or other medical centers, like the surgery center. You should make a list of the top applicants that you want to be credentialing. 2.    When going through physician credentialing, it is important that you provide specific instructions on required information. Before you hire a physician to any hospital or medical center, you should really ask for many different documents and information about themselves and about their college or any on the job training. This is how you can first learn about these potential applicants. Make sure that you specifically tell them of the different types of information you need to know and some extra information that can be important to their application or not.

3.    If you are convinced that these applicants are legitimate and knowledgeable, then you should perform a thorough background check before actually hiring them. This is the most time consuming part because you will really have to take some time to check their background and see if they can really get the job or not. It is the most time consuming but also the most important as this is the last stage in physician credentialing. Thorough background check requires someone to go through all the information provided and double checking to make sure the information they provided is accurate and truthful.
